Job CategoryIT/Software Development Job Location US-TX-San Antonio StatusFull Time Position description The Sr. Production Control Analyst will primarily be responsible for: Analysis of current data center operations processes and procedures for efficiency and consistency and subsequently making suggestions for improvements. Leading small- to medium-sized IT projects, gathering and documenting requirements, creating project proposals, budgets, risk assessment, and test cases and plans. Working with software vendors and internal purchasing department associates in contract management and development of SLA's. Leading and coaching other associates in areas that will foster growth and development. Working cross-functionally with a variety of IT groups and business users.This position is secondarily responsible for: Batch scheduling in a cross-platform environment on UNIX, Windows, and mainframe. Technical support of batch scheduling applications, including analysis, implementation, monitoring, and troubleshooting of batch processing and software.QualificationsThis position requires intermediate to advanced knowledge and experience with UNIX operating systems.Well-developed problem resolution and analytical skills.Analysis of batch requirements, creation and implementation of batch jobs, calendar maintenance, trend analysis for batch improvements, troubleshooting and problem resolution, etc.The ability to prioritize requirements based on a dynamic set of business needs.Well-developed problem resolution and analytical skills, including the ability to analyze complex situations by breaking into smaller pieces and identifying the implications of a situation step-by-step.The ability to work effectively in situations involving uncertainty and / or the lack of information, including assessing a situation to determine if and when action is appropriate or if more information is required to most effectively handle the situation and taking independent action and / or proactively creating opportunities to resolve or prevent problems.Small- to medium-sized IT project management experience.Vendor and contract management experience.Experience leading and coaching other associates in areas that will foster growth and development (such as in a Technical Lead role).Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present technical information in a non-technical format.Knowledge and understanding of automation tools and file transfer protocols.Batch scheduling experience in a cross-platform environment, including scheduling on UNIX, Windows, and mainframe.Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Windows and OS/390 mainframe systems.Strong organizational skills - able to manage multiple deliverables at one time.IT project management experience, to include gathering and document requirements, creation of project proposal, budget, risk assessment, and creation of test cases / plans.
