Job Description
- Responsible for independently conducting test processes for medium-sized application software systems, and regularly assists higher level position with testing larger scale projects. 
- Ensures the documentation of test results, and that all problems are resolved and no others have developed.
- They also mentor lower level positions by serving as a key performer and explaining concepts and procedures commonly expected within quality testing.

Job Requirements
- 5-9 years direct experience functioning in a quality assurance environment.
- Skill sets include: TSO, JCL, DB2
- Current mainframe testing skills
- Strong web testing skills
- Srong structured testing knowledge
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, general Management Information Systems, or related field, or a combination of work in a general business environment and educational experience
- Fully understand all concepts and applications of quality assurance testing and is able to perform all of the regular functions commonly required in quality assurance testing. 
- Very knowledgeable with work performed in an operational environment and the ability to understand how data processing/information systems, expedites work processes.

Job Duties
1. Independently conducts tests to ensure that the applications systems function properly and according to business standards and end-user specifications and requirements on any size or scope projects
2. Can handle multiple projects simultaneously, learns new applications quickly, and tests on a variety of platforms.
3. Develops test plans, conditions, and cases used in testing based on business requirements, technical specifications and/or product knowledge to ensure they function properly.
4. Leads other testers on complex or large projects
5. Clearly communicates testing and project status
6. Advises on technical issues in testing applications
7. Complies with, communicates and enforces standards and regularly participates in process improvement activities.
