Senior Specialist Class Actions

The incumbent is responsible for analyzing custody client security holdings and transactions to determine claim eligibility in securities class action settlements.  The incumbent must read and interpret eligiblity requirements/calculations and apply to individual client accounts in determining claim eligibility.  The incumbent is also responsible for reviewing and responding to correspondence received from claims administrators regarding previously filed claims.  The incumbent must be able to prioritize multiple tasks to ensure all internal and external deadlines are met when preparing claims and/or responding to correspondence.  The incumbent must be able to perform the majority of work online as claims are prepared and filed electronically, primarily through the use of databases and spreadsheets.  The incumbent will communicate with various internal groups including client service, as well as external entities, such as investment managers and claim administrators.

 

The qualified candidate will have a BS/BA degree in a business related discipline and 2 -4 years relevant work experience.  The candidate must have good organizational skills and be detail oriented.  The candidate  must be able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven atmosphere with limited supervision.  Multi-tasking ability is important.  Experience with Microsoft Excel is required.  General securities knowledge along with familiarity with CMS is preferred.
