Senior Systems Engineer

B-Line has an opening for a Senior Systems Engineer.

Responsibilities:

• Provide 3rd level technical support for all desktop and network support issues

• Troubleshoot and resolve server and network issues

• Install and maintain all enterprise servers and network infrastructure including Email Servers, SQL Servers, Web Servers, Antivirus Servers, Network switches and Firewalls

• Recommend, design, implement, and manage system upgrades and changes

• Install and maintain all server patches

• Automate installation of software packages

• Recommend and implement and document all changes to network design and WAN infrastructure

Qualifications:

• Comfortable interfacing with all levels of end users including senior management

• Ability to meet project deadlines with no supervision

• Professionalism and decisiveness

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Education/Experience:

• Bachelors degree in a computer-related field or 3 + years related experience

• Hands on experience working on layer 2 and 3 switching technologies

• Experience with virtual server

• Expertise in Exchange 2003 and internet email gateways

• Expertise in Windows 2000 and 2003

• Expertise with system security, intrusion detection, firewalls, and data loss prevention

• Expertise in automation of software, and software patch deployment

• Experience with MOM 2005 and Microsoft System center
