Senior Training specialist

Our client is one of the leading financial services provider.

 

Position Overview

Responsibilities include: Managing, facilitating, administrating, and participating in the research, design, development, and evaluation of Xxx's in-house training programs in XXX, Accounting, and Financial Markets Support the Global Training & Development Manager training initiatives and assist in identify and monitoring XXX training needs Design and conduct company training programs, NH Orientation, and Soft-Skills Training Work within Training & Development Department to meet Service Level targets for New York and New Jersey Monitor current and emerging issues on an ongoing basis to support training initiatives.  In addition, provide support to the Human Resources Department on other projects as needed Provide training on the functionality in Xxx and other related Xxx topics Ensure training events incorporate any regulatory requirements or legislative changes

 

Main Job Functions/Tasks:

Facilitation & Coaching

·Deliverand facilitate in-house programs including Xxx and Client business applicationtraining at Introduction, Intermediate and Advanced Levels Manage the classroom environment assuming full responsibility for the standards and professionalism of all sessions Provide on-going coaching support to participants during non-classroom phases of the program, as required Design and deliver training & development products & services that enhance individual and team technical and interpersonal competence and performance

 

Needs Analysis andInstructional Design Conduct the analysis of training and educational needs using various formats (i.e. questionnaires, focus groups)

Needs Analysis andInstructional Design (continued) Develop questionnaires and other needs analysis tools as needed Design innovative instructional and performance solutions using a variety of methods (workshops, self study, etc.) for developing and enhancing workforce skills and knowledge in support of the on-going development of the in-house programs Monitor and report the ongoing success of programs, taking accountability for any recommendations regarding delivery and/or content improvements Modify and adapt existing training material to reflect business updates Deliver localized training programs to meet agreed Service Levels and Key Performance Indicators for training Prepares training materials such as participant and facilitator workbooks, presentations, and pre-work.

 

Evaluation Track training attendance and results Pro-actively seek training course information, status, and generate enrollment statistics (including continuing education), course evaluations, etc. Assist in the ongoing evaluation of the effectiveness of training initiatives Develop evaluation tools as needed Implement a Level 1, 2 and 3 Evaluation Plan for each training intervention Report on training activity and evaluate results to identify the current contribution to the operation

 

Administration andLogistical Support Provide program support outside the classroom to ensure the successful delivery of the In-house programs, such as scheduling and communication of classroom delivery sessions, liaising with program speakers, facilitators and participants Liaise with management in the recruitment of participants for programs, as required Share best practices for application of training Assists in the coordination of approved enrollment courses Partners with HR team to schedule and deliver relevant Orientation and Induction training Coordinates the logistical arrangements for training programs.  This includes arranging for appropriate room and a/v requirements, lunch, participant /facilitator coordination, etc.

 

Other Working closely with the Training Managers and Global Operations Support teams as needed Group to develop, create and deliver effective training programs to all levels of personnel

 

Key Performance Indicators: 90% satisfaction rating is achieved in Level 1 Evaluation 100% of employees receive an Orientation to Xxx 90% of learning objectives are achieved in training programs

·60% of time isspent in classroom

Key Performance Indicators (continued):

·90% of newemployees achieve pass mark at end of induction assessment

·Distribute precourse work five days before event

·Training NeedsAnalysis completed with all managers between July and October

·Individualtraining records maintained for all employees

·Training Daystarget agreed with local Training Manager achieved on a monthly basis

·Attend MonthlyTraining Focus Group meeting to schedule forthcoming training

·Monthly ActivityReport distributed to local management team

 

Experience & Education: Bachelor’s degree required Previous experience in designing and facilitating learning programs Experience in Xxx systems and products a plus  Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures Knowledge of Xxx xxxx Services business processes and systems a plus Experience in one to one coaching beneficial Proven written Communication Skills – expressing concepts and information in a range of written formats Advance Verbal Communication Skills – expresses ideas clearly in public presentations and one to one situations Knowledge of regulatory and legislative requirements Proficient in Word, Excel and Power Point Strong orientation towards people and their development is a must Strong business/customer service orientation essential Coaching Techniques and styles at an intermediate level High Level Verbal and Written Communication Skills Proven Presentation skills

 

Note: This position may require some travel
