Senior Visual Basic Developer

The selected candidate will be responsible for design, development, maintenance and support of VB applications for Regulatory and Staff Systems IT project. Assist new development and support of the Enterprise Database application which supports cross functional business areas of CME Group. Provide new development and support for business areas including Membership, Shareholder Relations, Trading Floor Support, Market Regulation, Globex Control Center and Globex Account Management departments. The selected candidate will interact with business owners, identifying requirements and recommending design alternatives. The candidate will take ownership of and responsibility for assigned applications while assuring 24x7 support. This individual will also provide technical and architectural direction when needed and offer additional problem solving approaches to existing technical and architectural issues. This person must be able to work both independently and as a member of a team solving problems and implementing solutions. The ability to work in a fast paced environment but still pay attention to details is required. Finally, this person must be process oriented and have strong organizational skills.
