Senior Writer - Field & Sales Marketing Description Description:Job Summary & Mission- Develop and edit full-range of internal and external communications in multiple formats to support national sales focuses, business-building and recruiting efforts, including:- Internal Communications, such as guides, articles and sales support materials (e.g., success stories)- Promotional materials, such as magazine wrappers, inserts and ads - Client Communications, such as letters, Web content, talking points, client presentations- Senior Management Presentations- Collaborate with Marketing Communications designers and editors in creating new materials and refining existing pieces.- Revise communications as needed collaborating with Marketing Management and Business Partners. Manage review process with Legal, Compliance and Series 24.- Help maintain complete compliance files, both electronic and hard-copy, for all pieces produced. - Enforce and refine editorial guidelines in collaboration with Marketing Communications management.- Edit/review communications to integrate and reflect "brand voice." - Attend weekly status meetings with Marketing Managers.- Represent senior marketing managers in meetings and collaborate with senior sales management.Qualifications:- 10 yrs of communications experience. Bachelor degree in Marketing, communications or journalism or equivilent professional work experience with demonstrated success- General understanding of financial services industry and brokerage business required; direct financial services experience preferred but not necessary.- Working familiarity with financial products and services associated with investments and investment research preferredoCreative and effective writer capable of producing compelling, benefit-driven communications.- Able to easily understand technical financial terms and create clear, accurate explanations.- Autonomous self-starter with sound judgment regarding effective communications strategies and when to seek guidance and management support.- Strong interpersonal and counseling skills and ability to work with individuals of all professional levels and diverse experience.- Client service orientation and dedication to responsiveness.- Highly flexible, comfortable working with ambiguity, frequently changing timeframes and short deadlines.- Independent thinker -- yet accountable team player -- who enjoys making individual contributions to complex, multi-dimensional projects.- Responsible, committed to success, collaborative and comfortable with change.- Strong Ability to present well personally and professionally to senior-most management- Proficient in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint- Financial services licenses (Series 7 and Series 24 preferred); willingness to obtain them, if necessary. - Experience with electronic media, including video production, CD- and DVD-ROM and web technology, preferredSalary/Benefits: Salary commensurate with experienceWe can offer you an exciting, fast-paced working environment, a culture of mutual respect and commitment to maintaining the highest ethical standards and the opportunity to play a vital role in our growth.Job Location: Weehawken, NJJob Number: RUSAUBS115-591759Company URL: http://www.ubs.com/Company Profile:UBS is a leading global financial services firm.
