Software Engineer

The RoleWork as a member of the Mid-Tier engineering team, primarily within the scope of the Omgeo Connect product, in designing, implementing and enhancing the Server Side components of the system.Responsibilities•Collaborate with cross functional teams for specific Product Development efforts. Assist and provide input during the creation of business requirements and functional design. • Work with technical architects to define and document system designs and solutions consistent with the prescribed architecture. Work with teams of software engineers and developers on multiple and complex software development efforts. Work with the QA staff during various phases of testing and test case preparation. Qualifications• Undergraduate or advanced degree in a related discipline. • 5 years software engineering experience • 3 years JSP/Java/J2EE experience • 1-2 years experience in a distributed environment (RMI/EJB) • Proficiency in Unix, writing shell scripts • Financial Industry experience is a plus • Detailed knowledge of and experience with client/server and object oriented software development utilizing JSP, Java, XML, Oracle • Experience with EJBs, MDBs, JMS programming • Experience in the various phases of the system development life cycle including project planning, analysis and design, coding, and testing • Experience with Ant, Accurev a plus • Familiarity with OO design • Familiarity with the BEA Web Logic Server  To apply for this position please click on the link below.  Omgeo Careers Omgeo is a joint venture company owned equally by The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) and Thomson Financial.
