John Hancock can be found on the internet at www.johnhancock.com Manulife Financial Corporation trades as 'MFC' on the TSX, NYSE and PSE, and under '0945' on the SEHKSenior Administrative Assistant assisting the Chief Compliance Officer and his direct reports with all general and administrative secretarial duties.  Type and produce routine reports, letters, graphics and other documents and handle routine correspondence as directed Assemble information for use in reports and meetings Utilize software on personal computer for administrative and technical projects (maintain databases, entering and manipulating data on spread sheets to create reports and various other types of documents, as well as creating presentations using PowerPoint and spreadsheets using Excel)  Set up and maintain filing system for assigned department(s), including confidential data and ensure records are accurate and up-to-date  Use knowledge of company/department operations to answer routine inquiries from various internal and external sources  Schedule appointments and meetings for department personnel Screen mail and telephone calls, direct requests to the appropriate person and follow-up on replies Handle routine inquiries or requests for information  Communicate with personnel inside and outside the company to arrange meeting requests and/or provide information.  Prepare necessary materials for meetings and seminars  Circulate informal materials, publications, circular letters, et. to staff Make travel arrangements for department staff and process related expenses reports Maintain office supplies and equipment Provide coverage for peers as required Maintain department attendance records Other duties as assigned  2 years college or High School and Secretarial Diplomas  2+  years administrative experience in a business environment Strong organizational skills  Strong verbal and written communication skills  Ability to gather and consolidate data from various sources  Excellent design and presentation preparation skills  Ability to set priorities, handle multiple tasks, and meet deadlines  Typing and proficiency in Windows based computer applications (Microsoft Office) and the operation of office equipment  Flexible and adaptable to rapidly changing priorities and the ability to handle confidential information JOHN HANCOCK IS AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER - AA/F/M/D/V  JOB INFORMATION Company: Manulife Financial Location: Boston, MA 02108 Status: Full Time, Employee Job Category: Administrative/Clerical Learn more about the company Click here for video Length: 1:15 min Vibrant Culture     •     Wealth of Opportunity     •     Company with a Conscience
