Sr. Business Analyst

General Duties:

q Keep key pieces of information about IS initiatives updated in project management tracking software in order to ensure accurate statistics and communication.

q Effectively run meetings with Senior Level Executives ensuring everyone is on the same page and thoroughly understanding the process, as well as getting the agreement from all parties involved

q Gather and author project documentation such as Statement of Work and Functional Specifications with little guidance from a manager for complicated system changes, generally involving multiple systems or complex calculations.  Such documentation needs to be written in terminology that will be understood by the end user

q Function as project manager on projects, which includes, but is not limited to, the following project management activities:

q Assist in the establishment of project milestones, date and hour estimates and monitor throughout life of the project.

q Prepare project plan in Microsoft Project and keep updated to current project status.

q Direct and monitor project team assignments, identifying resource needs and escalating functional, quality and timeliness issues appropriately.

q Provide training, as necessary, as it relates to existing/new system functionality.

q Perform general system administration of critical functions and monitoring including user security.

q Maintain a thorough understanding of all of CA’s core systems.

 

Background Requirements:

q 5+ Year’s experience in Business Analyst or related role (R)

q Bachelor’s Degree (R)

q Experience writing documentation supporting user requirements, such as a maintenance request document or Statement of Work (R)

q Experience running large, cross-functional projects (R)

q Experience with SDLC  (R)

q Project Management experience (R)

q PMP certified (P)

q Ability to query database (SQL / PLSQL) (P)

q GPA of 3.0 or higher (P) (external candidates)

q Experience with Microsoft Project (P)

q Experience with Web-based programs (R)
