SR. FINANCIAL ANALYST

Mutual of America Life Insurance Company has an opportunity for a Sr. Financial Analyst.

This Position is responsible for the preparation and monthly monitoring of consolidated financial plans and other key performance measures for Mutual of America. Also responsible for the preparation and ongoing maintenance of various competitor analysis reports. Bachelor's degree in Finance required in addition to 2 – 4 years experience in insurance or financial reporting. Candidates must be proficient in Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint and G/L systems, as well as report writers such as FRX and Investment systems such as PAM. Functions include:Analysis of ongoing operating results to annual financial projections. Preparation of appropriate supporting work papers analyses. Written explanations of variances from plan. Preparation and analysis of “what if” scenarios for projection of future operating results. In depth analysis of proposed changes to the financial plan. Preparation and design of financial forecasting models covering all aspects of the business. Design enhancements to reflect changes in operating structure. Develop variance analysis on actual results. Participate in yearly development of financial plans. Prepare competitive analysis on assigned companies. Keep abreast of major factors and trends that are favorably or unfavorably influencing their competitive position. Participate in the FRX reporting team and assist in other FRX reporting design or development activities as needed or requested. Preparation and design of financial forecasting models covering all aspects of the business. Develop variance analysis on actual results. Aid in the preparation of the various surveys from rating agencies. Assist financial reporting unit in the timely completion of periodic financials.
