Sr. Java/J2SE Server-side Developer

The selected candidate's primary responsibilities will be to participate as a programmer analyst in support of the CME's front-end systems in the production environment. The candidate should be a strong Java developer who can provide development support in regards to production front-end systems via the troubleshooting and development of software to fix current system issues and provide enhancements. The candidate will participate in a team work environment along side an excellent team of technologists. The candidate will also work on making better tools for testing production.

Requirements

Primary: 3-4 years of solid work experience in server-side Java development. Good skills in full life cycle object oriented development. Good skills in problem solving and teamwork. Skills in developing Java applications on Linux hardware- working knowledge of Linux or traditional Unix

Secondary:Some work experience with JDBC, Oracle and PL/SQL. Experience working with trading systems, particularly in order entry, FIX (Financial Industry Exchange) Protocol, TIBCO Rendezvous networking background and/or Java front-end development would be a big plus for us.

4 years degree in Computer Science, MIS or equivalent work experience is required.
