General Characteristics: Develops and maintains statistical models and conducts advanced statistical analysis. Provides modeling support. Develops statistical models and performs statistical analysis. Validates and updates models periodically and provides validation reports. Works closely with internal business partners and external partners in modeling projects.SKILLSRequired: A masters degree in math, statistics, computer sciences, or a related quantitative discipline is a must. 5 - 7 years of experience in a related field is required. Experience in the credit card industry preferred. Proven knowledge and expertise in the management of data on multiple hardware processing platforms. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required. Ability to work well with minimal direction. Demonstrated problem solving, decision making skills, and leadership skills. Extensive PC, UNIX, and mainframe statistical software SAS experience is essential, as well as knowledge of batch and on-line processing required. Logistical Regression, Neural Networks, CHAID, Factor Analysis, Cluster Analysis, and Sampling Techniques desired. Previous modeling experience is required.Desired: Previous management experience including technical and administrative responsibility for a staff of highly skilled professionals.
