Sr. Microsoft Reporting / Data Analyst

Job Description: Primary application support and developer who will maintain Microsoft intranet applications on Windows platform. Hands on experience with SQL Server Reporting Services and Analysis Services. Has knowledge of Microsoft web technologies, including ASP.NET, C#, Java Script, HTML, XML, web services, SQL Server, database modeling tools and/or database design. Evaluates systems specifications for client area web site requirements and determines and implements the most efficient and cost-effective software/package solution. Analyzes business requirements as they pertain to reporting systems. Represent the application team to other systems team, become a technical subject matter expert, provide direction and guidance to less experienced staff, and participate in more complex & strategic projects in the department. Work with the business & technical project team members to document & review technical specification, lead design efforts for system integration and data conversion. Responsible for development and deployment of web-based reporting applications, provide production support by troubleshooting and fixing application problems. Minimum Qualifications: - Expert level technical knowledge and hands-on experience in SQL Server Reporting Services / Analysis Services, Microsoft technologies - ASP .Net 2.0, C#, SQL Server 2005 and related disciplines such as object-oriented programming, standards-compliant Web development, and web services. - Skilled in authoring technical documentation and performing reviews, relational database design, data manipulation, and creative problem solving. - Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. - Strong organizational skills. - Attention to detail.-Ability to take initiative. - Strong problem solving and communication skills are essential for success in this position. - 5-7 years technical background and 3-4 years directly related web experience. -Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent. Preferred Skills: - Experience with supporting business intelligence / reporting applications.
