For more information about Fannie Mae and our career opportunities, please visit www.fanniemae.com The Sr. Project Manager of the Guarantee Fee Accounting group within the Controller’s department will be responsible for the analytical preparation and review of the monthly production results from the guarantee fee business accounting work stream as well as liaising with credit valuation, business controller units, and operations teams to understand the drivers of our results.  Understand valuation models used in our guarantee asset business and how the output of these models impact our monthly financial statements. Work with the Business Unit Controller’s group, Single family and Multi family operations groups to fully understand our suite of products and to review our monthly analysis of accounting results.  Provide staff coaching and identify needs and opportunities for development.  Set goals for staff and monitor progress against goals. Contribute to the development of system requirements, system testing, new implementations, reports and other projects. Manage the analysis/documentation of ad hoc requests as required. Liaise with both external and internal audit as needed. Bachelor’s degree in finance, MBA preferred 7-10 years of finance experience preferably in the financial services/insurance industry High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access and other common desktop applications Must have strong analytical skills, experience with, and understanding of financial statements and accounting principles. Must be flexible, adaptable to changing environment, have the ability to multi-task, be self-motivated, detail oriented, meet critical deadlines and have a strong sense of accountability for managing results in accordance with assigned goals. Obtain a solid understanding of the various business activities of the gfee group, perform financial analyses of the gfee operations, and recommend enhancements or modifications to existing analytical reports to best “explain” the ongoing results of operations.  Prepare Ad Hoc reports as required to supplement senior management reporting.
