Join the Internet Banking Production Support Group (PSG) as a Senior Web Support Engineer within the Production Support Tools Engineering team. In this role, you will have the responsibility of supporting an array of tools used to support hundreds of production servers that are behind Wellsfargo.com. You will provide expert level support for the production monitoring tools and will develop and maintain PSG's own in-house written 'linborg' monitoring tool in Perl. This position will plan, coordinate and implement monitoring tool upgrades and maintenance, troubleshoot system related problems, and be responsible for the overall availability of the tool infrastructure and the environment as well as maintain the tool roadmaps, present technical briefing to other support staff, developers and management. Additionally, this individual will apply broad technical knowledge and skills to analyze, develop and implement solutions for process improvements, troubleshooting, production support and new product development in assigned areas as well as participate in the design, analysis and implementation of new products or business initiatives. Specific duties will include: Apply all authorized software upgrades and patches to tools systems. Actively involved in message analysis, i.e., eliminating/suppressing unwanted messages, modifying thresholds, etc. Maintains system level operational documentation. Configuration of tools. Scripting Language (Shell) work as necessary. Evaluate requests for additional enhancements on Event Management capability. Coordinate with Change Management for new capability deployment. Daily health and performance monitoring of management server processes. Participate in enhancements development and coordinate efforts in development and distribution. Event management server management (file system, users, Policies, monitors) and basic maintenance. Participate in 7 x 24 on-call support rotation Position will require occasional after hour and weekend workThis position does not provide relocation assistance nor is telecommuting an option. Minimum Qualifications: • 8 years of overall industry experience with a focus in Production Support• Must be an EXPERT in Perl programming with 5+years of Perl experience.• 5 yrs of experience writing PHP applications utilizing a MySQL database.• 5 yrs of experience administering Solaris 8, Solaris 9, and Solaris 10.• Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience• Understanding of Object Oriented programming in either PHP or Perl.• Experience with WebLogic• Experience with OVO Preferred Skills: The following skills are a plus: • Experience with Introscope• Experience with Atlassian Confluence (WIKI)• Experience with Tomcat• Experience administering MYSQL databases• Experience with LDAP integration with apache or PHP.
