Sr Windows Systems Administrator/Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs Systems Administrator/Engineer activities required to support a Windows platform in a production-trading environment. Provide system administration, operational support, problem resolution, and perform hardware and software installations and upgrades. Monitor system performance and capacity. Forecasts system demands, recommends upgrades, expansion and reconfiguration. Troubleshoots problems and takes appropriate corrective action and or interacts with IT staff or vendors in performing complex testing, support and troubleshooting functions. Documents standards and operating procedures for the system and acts as a technical resource to IT staff and system users. Manages projects and work related tasks. REQUIREMENTS: This position will be worked out of the downtown Charlotte location. The ideal candidate for this position will have 5 + years experience supporting and working in Windows Server Environment as a Sr. System Administrator/Engineer. Person must have proven ability to perform troubleshooting, load balancing and resource allocation in a production environment. Production experience with Windows 2003 server required; experience with SAN attached systems preferred; large server environment experience preferred; Microsoft clustering experience preferred; VMWARE ESX 3.0.x experience preferred; SQL experience a plus; IIS experience a plus; MOM experience a plus; Citrix experience a plus; NAS experience a plus; Veritas Storage Foundation experience a plus. Ability to function in a fast moving and technically challenging production trading environment. Must be detailed oriented. Must be willing to be on a pager rotation.
