Ayco has provided specialized services in such areas as tax and estate planning, investments and insurance to Fortune 500 executives for over 30 years.  This position offers the opportunity to deliver personal financial planning and is located in our Albany, NY office.

 

Qualifications

 

ÚJ.D., preferably with major course work or experience in finance, business, tax, estate settlement/planning, or other area related to financial planning.  Additional degrees or professional designations such as MBA, CFP, CLU or ChFC or NASD licenses such as Series 7 are a plus.

 

Ú1-2 years experience preferred.

 

ÚStrong verbal and written communication skills along with an ability to research, analyze, and problem-solve are required.

ÚPatience, empathy, strong listening skills. 

 

 Responsibilities

 

ÚProvide comprehensive personal financial planning to individuals who have recently lost a loved one or are faced with terminal illness.  Our service can include reviewing clients’ goals, analyzing their situation and providing objective education and guidance.  Areas of planning include estate settlement, income and estate tax, employee benefits, Social Security and other government benefits, cash flow, investments, insurance, and estate planning.

 

ÚTo deliver our standard of quality financial planning, an interested candidate must be self-motivated, committed to quality and possess the ability to plan and organize daily activities with minimal supervision.

 

ÚKnowledge and experience in Windows and spreadsheets are useful.

ÚSpanish proficiency is a plus.
