Currently, Chubb is seeking a Support Specialist for the Simsbury, CT office.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
•Work with manager, other team members and actuarial to successfully complete state filing support specialist portion of the overall responsibilities of the CSI State Filings Department. Create state forms, forms lists, and all appropriate filing material as required by individual states for either paper or electronic SERFF filings.
•Other miscellaneous regulatory functions including help desk calls, keeping track of changing state regulations and state issues.
•Respond to state criticisms within the specified timeframe by researching regulatory issues and working with manager, actuarial, and product managers as needed. Notify all necessary parties when state approvals are received. Follow-up on outstanding filings and take action when needed.
•Develop appropriate knowledge of regulatory issues associated with assigned states. Communicate with all levels of management maintain cooperative working relationships within and outside the department.
•Handle various administrative tasks including filing.
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
•Professional Liability (in particular, D&O, E&O, Fiduciary and EPL), excess insurance, crime coverage and fidelity bond coverage as well as general experience in property casualty insurance.
•Uses sound judgment and highly developed interpersonal communication skills to work well as a member of a team in a collegial environment and to interact effectively with others in the organization.
•Is organized and can handle a variety of administrative tasks.
EDUCATION:
•College degree preferred.
•Three to five years insurance industry experience, particularly in state filings and regulation, highly desired.
