System Administrator - Microsoft Exchange 2003

Information Systems at Edward Jones is seeking a systems administrator to provide technical expertise related to Microsoft Exchange 2003 and archiving technologies. This position includes development, training and mentoring other associates, implementation, and support. If you are a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer Windows 2000 or 2003 with a knowledge of Exchange 2000 or 2003, or have experience supporting a Windows 2003/Exchange 2003 environment for 2+ years, you may be an ideal candidate.Responsibilities Provide first-level support for assigned systems, including rotating assignment to provide 24x7 on-call coverage. Responsibilities include monitoring system logs and messages, as well as developing, guiding packaging, testing, documentation and implementation of quality infrastructure solutions. Debug and correct internal and external infrastructure problems. Provide estimates for assigned deliverables as directed by leader. Perform Basic scripting functions Provide system performance, tuning, internals and root cause determination Assist in developing technical requirements and interoperability of systems. Follow system development lifecycle methodologyRequirements Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, etc. preferred or equivalent experience in information systems. Operational knowledge of the Microsoft Exchange 2003. Understanding of software installation and implementation-planning cyclesGeneral understanding of Intel hardware, Windows 2003 operating system, data base technology and network technologies.
