TAX MANAGER (FINANCIAL SERVICES)

Our prestigious client, a diversified investment service leader located in downtown Boston, has a key requirement for an experienced tax professional. This highly visible position will oversee  the work of Tax Supervisors and seniors who are responsible for the review of federal, state, and local tax returns, development and maintenance of tax compliance calendars for distributions, tax returns and all other client tax related deliverables.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: 

The Tax Manager also prepares and oversees written procedures with respect to the deliverables of the tax team. The successful individual will have direct interaction with clients and through your leadership, your team will be expected to provide superior client service and subject matter expertise and be contributing members of the Fund Administration group to achieve excellence in all aspects of servicing their clients. 

EXPERIENCE/QUAL/EDU:BS/BA degree in Accounting or equivalent work experienceMasters in Taxation or related field preferred,  but not requiredMinimum of eight years of mutual fund tax experience in a public accounting and/or corporate environment  Solid understanding of tax concepts, practices, and proceduresStrong leadership qualities needed to motivate team members to deliver exceptional client service and subject matter excellenceExceptional interpersonal, communication, and relationship management skills including the ability to manage clients and their goals and to build trust though strong internal and external senior relationshipsAbility to conceptualize and execute projects and initiatives through to completionProven management experience; experience motivating and leading a team of professionalsAbility to support the Sr. Tax Manager, Fund Accounting, and Corporate Actions departments with research and guidance on tax related questionsCreative problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify, recommend, and implement solutions for tax-related client issuesAptitude for numbers, accuracy, and organization



SALARY:
$100,000 to $130,000 + Bonus + Profit Sharing
