Tax Associate

If you are looking to make a move from a Big 4 firm or another established hedge fund, this may be the right opportunity!  You must have Tax experience including: reviewing federal and state tax returnsexperience using tax research tools

Must have 1-3 years experience and graduated from a top tier college.  Firm asks for GPA and SAT scores.

Data Management AssociateMaster the Firm’s trading, accounting, reporting, and valuation applications from the perspective of the Data Management teamGain familiarity of all asset classes, bank debt, bonds, equities, options, derivatives, trade claims, etc.Responsible for portfolio valuation, for all asset classes (old and new) daily and monthlyWork to create a robust, scaleable, proprietary valuation platform considering future growth, expansionResponsible for various vendor pricing data feed maintenance and relationshipsAssist in the implementation of various security master tools by asset class and business, including front end applications, middle-office and accounting systems as well as relevant data and process flowsContinued management and maintenance of current security master, while working on new solutions to support business growthPlay an integral part in assessing current non-standard data needs from various business units and work with various teams to implement the usability/reporting of such dataWork with all facets of the business:  PMs, trading, risk, compliance, accounting, tax, valuation, investor relations, etcAssist in building controls, via management-style reporting, to assess data quality and trends

Requirements:3-5 years experience at a hedge fund or hedge fund administrator is ideal; additional financial services firms are also acceptable.  Exposure to valuation and/or security set-up for multiple asset classes is requiredFamiliarity with various asset classes a plus, especially valuation (bank debt, HY bonds, derivatives, trade claims, and other exotic, illiquid assets)Organized and detail-orientedKnowledge of various tools/vendors a plus (Bloomberg, IDC, Markit, Reuters/LPC)Ability to multi-task and work in focused groups for short term execution and resolution of issuesDetail oriented, out-of-the-box thinking, possess great brainstorming skills
