Investment Banking Operations:

IB Operations is a dynamic and diverse division that ensures trades are settled in a timely, cost efficient manner, that risk is minimised and that the client experience is a pleasant one. Spread across multiple product areas (Derivatives, Securities, Global Finance & Foreign Exchange Operations, Loans, Trust and Securities, as well as cross functional entities) IB Operations strives to do things smarter, faster and more effectively. It meets the technical and operational challenges of processing transactions worth hundreds of billions of Euros every day, across multiple time zones in all the major currencies and markets.

 

Job Description:

Responsible for assisting Assistant Vice President in all operational aspects of the documentation across the Credit and Rates Derivative businesses. A primary responsibility will be to manage and provide support for the documentation team, by providing daily MIS and key priority items.

Assist in managing a team in all aspects of operational service including efficient processing of the day to day business, effective control over the business flows. Effective teamwork within the Global Derivative Documentation team will be a key area for success.  The role demands heavy involvement in day to day objectives and providing clear guidance to improving department targets. The candidate will be required to interface with the Front office, Transaction Management Group, Derivative Documentation and other support partners as well as external clients to ensure timely and accurate processing of paper and electronic confirmations. The candidate will be responsible for managing the team encompassing all managerial duties related to efficient people management: making decisions on staffing and sourcing to deliver cost effective service while maintaining/improving staff quality by development and recruitment.  The candidate will be required to play an important role in the realization of the Firm’s Target Operating Model.

 

Skills Required:

The candidate should have an appetite for resolution of issues with a creative and problem solving approach. The successful candidate must be prepared to work hard with very high levels of diligence and accuracy. Will need to be a team player, resilient to stress and have the ability to manage highly demanding situations. Excellent time management requiredFinancial services background or Finance degree.  Good IT skills, such as Windows XP and Microsoft Word and Excel Ability to interact successfully and build strong working relationships with various internal and external groups on a daily basis (Middle Office, Legal, Credit) Excellent written and oral communication skills Thoroughness and attention to detail Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment and under tight deadlines  Ability to work in a team environment in order to achieve group targets Excellent organizational skills Accountability, responsibility, solution and delivery focused Motivated and Positive Experience with TSAR, Summit, GOLD and DTCC is advantageous 2+ years financial services experience, with at least one year of management experience.  Prior derivative documentation experience is a plus.
