Telecom Billing Analyst/Representative Job description



v Review and audit carrier bills including simple and complex voice and data services such as access circuits, frame relay, Internet, private virtual circuits, POTS lines, ISDN back-up circuits, local and LD services, toll free services, and various other telecom related products and services.

v Research, audit, and process all invoices associated with Data and Voice Circuits.

v Ensure telecommunications vendors bill accurately for services at contracted rates and proactively address all discrepancies in a timely manner and maintain all documentation related to such.

v Identify, prepare and resolve all billing disputes with carriers and communicate results to management.

v Responsible for month end closing and expense accruals for all Data and Voice circuits associated with operations and products.

v Handle multiple projects simultaneously with an emphasis on meeting deadlines and ensuring accuracy and quality of all deliverables.

v Assist with the migration to new telecom expense management and inventory tracking system.

v Clerical Duties included - filing, copy, fax and scanning of invoices.

v Provide weekly and monthly reports to management.

v Assist with special projects as needed.

Minimum requirements include but are not limited to the following:

v 3-5 Years experience in accounting, finance or telecommunication.

v College degree required.

v Understanding of accounting concepts, financial reporting and analysis.

v Previous Carrier experience is a definite plus and highly preferred.

v Understanding of telecom products and services including T1's, PRI's, Local and LD, POTS, ISDN, etc.

v Demonstrated knowledge of telecommunications billing systems, terms, and auditing functions.

v Demonstrated understanding of Carrier procedures for orders, disconnects, and changes.

v Excellent oral and written communications skills as well as demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills.

v Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.

v Strong organizational and time management skills and proven ability to multitask in a high paced environment.
