IB Operations is a dynamic and diverse division that ensures trades are settled in a timely, cost efficient manner, that risk is minimized and that the client experience is a pleasant one. Spread across multiple product areas (Derivatives, Securities, Global Finance & Foreign Exchange Operations, Loans, Trust and Securities, as well as cross functional entities) IB Operations strives to do things smarter, faster and more effectively. It meets the technical and operational challenges of processing transactions worth hundreds of billions of Euros every day, across multiple time zones in all the major currencies and markets.
Derivative Operations Cross-Product Settlements Specialist
Job Description:
Responsibilities include:
- Ensure accurate and timely settlement of cash-flows.
-Calculate cash-flows and verifying with clients, trade support systems and possibly legal documentation before value date.
- Investigate and resolve derivative related payment breaks.
-Contact counterparties about discrepancies, reviewing legal contracts and internal trade capture systems to resolve disputes.
-Raise trade amendments, transfer funds between internal accounts, prepare manual ledger bookings and make ad hoc
-Maintain daily contact with Controllers, Middle Office and Operations in overseas branches
Skills Required:
- Strong IT skills, such as Windows XP and Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to interact successfully and build strong working relationships with various internal and external groups on a daily basis (Middle Office, Legal, Credit)
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Thoroughness and attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment and under tight deadlines
- Ability to work in a team environment in order to achieve group targets
- Excellent organizational skills
- Accountability, responsibility, solution and delivery focused
- Motivated and Positive
- Minimum college degree with financial services internship or experience preferred
