Trading Desk Developers

Our client is a prominent division of one of the top global investment banks.They have ongoing requirements to add enthusiastic and dedicated developers on several of their extremely profitable trading desks, including Credit Derivatives and Foreign Exchange.  They are seeking strong technical developers who are highly motivated, self sufficient, good problem solvers, and who enjoy working with and helping users in a fast-paced environment.

Your duties will comprise a combination of new development and enhancements, along with critical support of the systems throughout the trading day.  The user base will typically include Traders, Salespeople, Middle Office staff and sometimes Finance. Team members will have the opportunity to develop a broad understanding of a range of trading applications and will also develop specialized knowledge in one or more aspects of the supported applications.

Because the bank is a global enterprise, you will have the opportunity to interface and liaise with users, counterparties and colleagues in London, Tokyo, Shanghai, etc. This fast paced growth environment is a great opportunity for motivated individuals to become an integral part of a successful trading business as well as gain exposure working in an international team.



Requirements: Highly motivated individuals with 3+ years of software development experience on server and front end GUI applications Minimum 3+ years of development experience in large scale enterprise application integration. Minimum 2-3 years of Java or C# or C++ development Minimum 1-2 years of SQL development with either Sybase, Oracle or SQL ServerHas demonstrated effective solution development capabilities. Has demonstrated high degree of initiative and self-guided work management. BS in Computer Science or Engineering preferred

Desired: Wall Street experience preferred specifically with derivatives or FX Experience working in a fast-paced trading environment  Must be willing to work diligently to meet deliverable deadlines  Demonstrate strong desire to develop new technical knowledge and professional skills on a continual basis The compensation for these opportunities will be commensurate with the experience level of the successful candidates. For a senior candidate the base could potentially reach the $150K range to attract stars, with an additional bonus potentially taking the overall comp package over the $200K range.
