Trading Floor Specialist - Technical Support

SIG is opening the door to an exciting career in the financial trading industry. Our Trading Floor Support role will offer you exposure to SIG's upstairs trading operation. Working with an energetic team of experienced professionals, you will provide hands-on support to a user base comprised of traders, investment bankers, and office staff.As a Trading Floor Support Specialist your role will involve aspects of networking, telecommunications, hardware support, application support, and data center services. You will be exposed to many third party products and proprietary applications. This role will provide you hands-on training and other resources to ensure your success in this role.You will be required to occasionally travel to Pasadena and other SIG locations (10% or less).Required hours: 4:30 a.m.-2:00 p.m.We also have similar positions available in Chicago and Boston. Essential Functions Provides hands-on support, in a team effort to troubleshoot and resolve desktop, laptop, telecommunications, network, market data, and trading technology issuesActs as a liaison between users/traders, business units, and other technology groups Prioritizes assignments as needed and supports technology projects that arise Supports all users in the office space and some remote usersParticipates in user moves, adds and changes Develops and maintains technical documentationInteracts with external vendors for various services Required/Preferred Qualifications Minimum of two years of demonstrated progressive technical support experience requiredExcellent interpersonal and customer service skills A proven team-player with exceptional collaboration skills PC and laptop hardware installation experience and a working knowledge of MS Office and Windows XPExperience with or a willingness to learn Market Data service platforms such as Bloomberg, Reuters, and MicroHedgeTheoretical knowledge of networking and telecommunications Demonstrated project management skills along with proven success working with the business a mustAbility to work well and troubleshoot quickly in a fast-paced, time-critical environmentBachelors degree or technical diploma from an accredited technical school strongly preferredAbility to lift 50 lbs is required* Apply Salary/Benefits At SIG, our employees are our most valued assets.
