Sales/Retail/Business Development Job Type Full Time, Employee Trust and Estate Consultant Description Description:Job Summary and Mission:As a Trust and Estate Consultant, you partner with Private Wealth Advisors (PWAs) to proactively engage Ultra High Net Worth clients and prospects in dialogue surrounding advanced wealth transfer and philanthropic strategies, and the integration of those strategies with their investment portfolios.Key Responsibilities:- Enhance the client acquisition, advisement and retention process by contributing sophisticated intellectual capital related to wealth transfer and philanthropic planning- Collaborate with other business groups within UBS Wealth Management US to provide a consistent internal client experience- Educate PWAs in the areas of Wealth Management, Estate and Financial Planning- Provide expertise in competition and marketplace dynamics (pricing, etc.) that pertain to the particular P&S solution set- Articulate a concise message to both the client and UBS PWA, as an advice provider in a comprehensive portfolio context- Possess general knowledge of the entire P&S solution set- Review estate documents and structures (i.e. Wills, Trusts, Powers-of-Attorney, Health Care Directives, Pre-nuptials, Partnership Agreements, ILITs)- Networking with local Centers of Influence- Consulting with team members and educating clients on current estate planning issues- Consulting team members and educating clients on potential estate planning strategies- Conduct education programs for PWAs- Conduct client events that educate on a particular P&S solution set- Conduct WM Education programs to include facilitation of the UBS Wealth Management Education Program (WMEP), as well as, Financial Planning Process Training- Develop strategies with PWAs to incorporate a planning approach to clients- Train PWAs on the use of the UBS Financial Planning Platform- Leverage outside resources such as the UBS Attorney and Life Insurance Network- Prepare PWAs to present plans to their clients- Strategize with PWAs on how to utilize UBS' expertise and capabilities to provide value in every aspect of a client's financial life- Provide point-of-sale support to PWAs for clients and prospects with assets exceeding $10 million as a consultant with generalist knowledge of all product areas and specialist expertise in all areas of Estate and Financial Planning- Become an informal team member of each PWA team- Consistently bring client case opportunities to the other PWM Consultants- Coordinate the sharing of best practices and key sales information in close cooperation with P&SC Business Management team, the Regional Consulting Center Consultants, and Consultants in other Private Wealth Management offices around the country- Manage T&E to ensure expenditures stay within guidelines- Significant experience working with ultra high net worth clients- Stay current on relevant tax law changes and communicate those changes to team members and related groups.Qualifications:- 5-8 years of at a law firm, as a JD is required- 10 years industry experience or work related experience- Advanced degrees and other relevant professional certifications are a plus: CFP, MBA, MS in Tax, LLM, CPA- 7 & 66 must be obtained within 90 days of hire; Insurance license must be obtained in states which comprise region- Must have passed or have the ability to complete within one year a comprehensive exam of the online UBS Wealth Management Education Program (WMEP) - all 27 modules- Expertise, skills and experience with the following areas, techniques and strategies are also expected: personal income, estate, gift, trust, and partnership tax disciplines, advanced wealth transfer planning techniques such as Grantor Retained Annuity Trusts, Qualified Personal Residence Trusts, Family Limited Partnerships, Defective Grantor Trusts, Irrevocable Life Insurance Trusts, Charitable Remainder Trusts, Charitable Lead Trusts, Private Foundations, Generation Skipping Applications, review of investment portfolio for asset allocation, planning with concentrated stock positions, incentive benefits, non-qualified stock options, incentive stock options, and restricted stock- Technical expertise specific to the area of Wealth Management, and highly sophisticated Estate and Financial Planning strategies- Technical expertise in the areas of concentrated equity position strategies and corporate executive benefit plans - Significant experience working with ultra high net worth clients.- Ability to interact with Senior Managers, PWAs, product areas, vendors and field experts- Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy- Strong organizational and project coordination skills- Ability to set priorities and manage deadlines- Strong verbal and written communication skills- Self-motivated and pro-active with an entrepreneurial spirit- Team-player, enthusiastic and positive, polished, poised and professional- Knowledgeable in MS Office applicationsSalary/Benefits: Salary commensurate with experienceWe can offer you an exciting, fast-paced working environment, a culture of mutual respect and commitment to maintaining the highest ethical standards and the opportunity to play a vital role in our growth.Job Location: Boston, MAJob Number: RUSAUBS130-595167Company URL: http://www.ubs.com/Company Profile:UBS is a leading global financial services firm.
