Underwriting/Trading Assistant

Regional Investment Bank seeks candidate for entry-level position on fixed-income trading desk in Dallas.  This position reports to the Regional Trading Manager.  The successful candidate will assist with municipal-bond underwriting and secondary trading in both the institutional and retail markets.  This position will lead to many opportunities within the firm; especially towards FI trading.

 

Successful candidate will:

-have college degree in business finance, economics, or similar discipline.

-have a Series 7 License or be expected to pass Series 7 Exam within 6 months of hire. 

-have strong PC and analytical skills; Bloomberg a plus. 

-be willing to come in early, stay late, and do whatever it takes to get the job done right.

 

This is an entry-level position and will pay as such.  Many successful traders within our firm have begun with this position, so realistic candidates will be forward-thinking about their careers.
