User Services Technical Support Description Description:Job Summary and Mission:As Technical Support for the Information Technology Infrastructure Group, you provide second level technical support for in a fast-paced financial environment.Resposibilities:-provide 2nd level technical support for a fast-paced financial environment-must efficiently monitor ticket tool queues for requests, and action/resolve in a timely manner within SLA guidelines-solve IT problems quickly and/or escalate to the appropriate specialized support teams as needed-coordinate requests and issues between support teams to provide complete resolution of IT issues/projects-perform various Network administrative functions. MCSE, MCP, MOUS are PLUS. Some weekend work will be requiredQualifications:- Minimum of 3-5 years experience in supporting Windows environment desktops and laptops - 4 Year College Degree or international Equivalent (Preferably computer science related degree)- Must be flexible to cover overlaps on shifts when necessary and also on call coverage during late weeknights and on weekends- Be a quick learner with good problem solving skills- The ability to work in a high pressure; fast paced environment- Applicants should have broad knowledge of Windows Operating Systems (preferably XP), Microsoft Office applications, Outlook, Internet Explorer, - Experience installing/configuring PC applications, troubleshooting connectivity issues, and conducting/troubleshooting system diagnostics - Experience with installing, configuring, and troubleshooting PC/Laptops, Blackberry, PDA's, PC Hardware and peripheral to include printers in Windows environment- Minimum 5 years of providing hands-on Desktop/PC (2nd Level) Support to an end-user community - Previous experience in a banking/trading environment- Technical certifications preferred such as MCSE, MCDST- Crisis Management experience a plus- Installation / configuration and trouble shooting of the Avistar video system is desirable- Knowledge of any of the following MDS Applications would be considered a plus:- Factset- Reuters Station- Reuters 3000 XtraSalary/Benefits: Salary commensurate with experienceWe can offer you an exciting, fast-paced working environment, a culture of mutual respect and commitment to maintaining the highest ethical standards and the opportunity to play a vital role in our growth.Job Location: Weehawken, NJJob Number: RUSAUBS122-593382Company URL: http://www.ubs.com/Company Profile:UBS is a leading global financial services firm.
