VB6/VB.NET Developer

Our Dayton area client is seeking a contractor for a 6+ month project.


 


 


 


 Experience Requirements:
Two to five years relevant work experience with VB.Net using Visual Studio 2003/2005 and Microsoft SQL Server Database. Experience with Web Service Development Experience with Web Page Development using ASP.NET Experience with banking software would be a plus.

Responsibilities:
Writes structured application/interface code from specifications conforming to established methodology and standards. Demonstrates and promotes high standards for quality and productivity; focuses on results. Job involves moderate to high level of complexity/difficulty. Position works from established procedures and provides new ideas or approaches to methods and systems. Conducts unit and systems testing of either new or modified applications. Participates in code reviews to represent reviewed work for adherence to standards and specifications. Provides technical expertise in developing, supporting, testing and maintaining Visual Basic applications. May perform analysis and technical assessment of system problems, change requests, enhancements and upgrades. May maintain required documentation for software development and changes. May provide training to subordinate engineers. Other duties and projects as assigned.
