VP -FI/Derivs Pricing Manager (White Plains)

Qualifications Degree/Major Preferred: Bachelor of Arts or Science in Finance, Accounting, Economics or some other Securities Related Degree Required Education, Experience, Skills: Either 4 Year Degree in Securities Related Major or At Least Three Years of Management Experience in Pricing and Valuation of Derivatives and/or Fixed Income Experience Desired Education, Experience, Skills: Should have very strong experience in Fixed Income or Derivatives Operations and knowledge of SWAPs and other Derivatives Instruments and their valuations. The candidate must be detail oriented, work well under pressure and be able to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment.

Duties & Responsibilities (Please complete only if new position; otherwise attach current job description): Will work on strategic planning of Pricing and Valuations issues and processes. Will work very closely with IT to develop enhancements and applications to continually improve pricing process. Will work very closely with Portfolio Management, Research, and Risk to develop new pricing models, processes, and sources for valuation data. Will work with Valuation Committee to enforce and develop new firm policy. Will take leadership role in Valuations Committee monitoring of securities that are illiquid, distressed, or otherwise difficult to value. Will be providing supervision and support to the pricing staff including VP level manager and will validate their work and provide feedback. Implements strong standards and controls to ensure timely and accurate pricing. Implement measurable performance goals for Team Implement statistics and measurements to report to Senior Management. Develop relationships with Broker Contacts to improve quality and timeliness of pricing from brokers. Monitor and measure inputs from these parties. Attend and work with Industry groups (BMA, etc) to participate in industry initiatives. Work with Vendors to increase quality and coverage pricing data.
