Vice President of Operations Position at a Long Island Based Financial Services Company Fast growing Holbrook based independent Broker/Dealer has position for Vice President of Operations.

 

American Portfolios Financial Services, Inc. Magazine.  The firm currently has close to 500 highly seasoned affiliated representatives located in over 200 branch locations throughout the nation. APFS’ corporate offices headquartered in Holbrook, NY on Long Island, has an excellent opportunity for a Vice President of Operations.  This is a newly created position for the firm so candidate needs to be self-initiating and armed with ample Operations experience.

 

Job Description:  

 

Review all prospective registered representative candidates.

Review all registered representative payout grids that we establish/change.  

Act as a liaison with staff for problem resolution items from our representative field force and vendor relationships.

Assist in developing relationships with our mutual fund, variable annuity, and clearing firm contacts.

Manage all mutual fund and variable annuity selling agreements.

Assist in developing structure of various broker dealer meetings and conferences.

Assist in development of various technological Broker Dealer platforms.

Manage the creation and distribution of the broker dealer weekly electronic newsletter.

 

Job Requirements:

·         BA or BS degree

·         Minimum of 5years experience in Financial Services Firm

·         Strong communication and interpersonal skills

·         Ability to work independently and produce positive results with minimal direction

·         Ability to interact with all levels of staff and management

·         Ability to exercise discretion with confidential information

·         Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access

 

Required Knowledge:

  NSCC file and process experience which is not limited to commission processing but includes file transfer protocol (B51 and b52 scrubbing) DST Systems and DAZL Transfer agent experience DTCC Experience: The Depository Trust Company (DTC) Fixed Income Clearing Corp (FICC) DTCC DERIV/SERV LLC DTCC Solutions Accord Experience …Insurance Company Standards  (PPFA) Product Profile  ACATS/IPS for Insurance Carriers
