Education Level: Bachelor's Degree Address: Denver, CO 80237 Vice President of Due Diligence National Planning HoldingsSM (NPH) currently has an opening for a Vice President of Due Diligence located in Denver CO NPH is the holding company of four registered broker-dealer and investment advisory firms serving more than 2,600 independent representatives nationwide. NPH is part of the Jackson National Life Insurance Company (Jackson) network.Duties/ResponsibilitiesThe primary responsibility is to support the affiliated broker-dealer firms within the National Planning Holdings, Inc. (NPH) network in evaluating and monitoring prospective investments. This process will include procuring and organizing due diligence requests, evaluating offering documents, conducting due diligence visits, and working closely with the firm’s legal department to formulate opinions on these potential investments. This individual would not only review the product/strategy, but will also be a resource to the various broker dealers compliance staff to help educate, review suitability, etc. · Procuring and organizing due diligence requests· Supervise NPH Due Diligence team, providing direction and training· Evaluating offering documents· Maintaining files on all active selling agreements· Conducting due diligence visits · Formulate opinions/recommendations on these potential investments· Chairperson of the NPH Products Committee Assist in new projects as directed The corporate structure is relatively flat and lean with ample access to decision makers. Position Requirements 5-7 years of due diligence, related finance, and/or legal experience Experience evaluating limited partnerships or direct participation programs preferred MBA Required NASD Series 7 required (and 24 preferred). Minimum 5 years securities industry experience Must have previous experience working within broker-dealer environment. Demonstrate ability to manage multiple priorities and staff members. Qualified candidate will be a strong problem solver. This position requires an individual to be extremely detail oriented, self-motivated with the ability to operate on a daily basis with limited supervision. Proven ability to work as a team player, yet independently when necessary. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Excellent organizational and prioritization skills. Highly proficient in all applications of Microsoft Office including: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Ability to travel as some travel will be required.
