Wealth Management Associate - Junior Relationship Manager
Growing Miami private bank and wealth management firm seeks a motivated, detail-oriented professional to assist the Chief Investment Officer in the day-to-day administration of client accounts.
Position Summary:
The Wealth Management Associate/Jr. Relationship Manager is responsible for all company facing client account administration. This position will perform client initiated routine activity and establish relationships with current and prospective client base. The overall function will enhance client service and help enhance Relationship Management team profitability.
Job Responsibilities:
Monitor client portfolios for compliance with asset allocationRecommend action regarding client portfoliosPut clients funds to work using Advent Reviewing trades placed in clients accountsPreparing client presentation materials for meetingsUpdating client Agenda’s based on meeting/conversationsPerforming analysis on client related issuesAnswering incoming calls for SVP Chief Investment OfficerReceive and carry out client’s request for wire transfers, account to account transfer, missing statements, tax worksheet information, tracking of odd shares that are handled by various transfer agentsAssist clients with online banking issues to include but not limited to password issues and guiding clients through the log on processProcess Bills and/or invoices by reviewing, approving and sending to Operations Department for approvalConduct file maintenance to maintain accurate client demographics Request/Receive copy of transfer request for new accounts from Wealth Management BDO or Operations Department.Distribute Transfer request copy to investment strategist and/or assigned RMMonitor receipt of assets to ensure timely completionAssist RM in setting up initial client meeting for new accounts and the gathering of all necessary documents needed for initial client meeting to include Agenda Banking documentation Meet with new clients to establish a relationship and provide contact information Assist RM in the preparation of meetings with current client base by anticipating the RM’s need for required documentation, forms, and/or reports such as: investment reports, transaction reports and any other forms/documents that will establish the business relationship with the clientConduct daily follow-up with Marshalling Asset Administrator and record/communicate finding to RMWhen appropriate conduct tax cost for assets and forward to operations department to assist in the marshalling processAct as a liaison between the RMs and the operations department Gather requested information from internal business units as necessary to update client agendasResearch, retrieve, coordinate and deliver any information/documentation/reports promised to client preceding a RM / client meetingResponsible for the creation and distribution of yearly asset retention letters, money transfer authorizations and RMD.Assist with completion of Reg 9 and reportsCoordinate with RM pending and pertinent topics for each weekMaintain account files to insure filing system is up to dateResponsible for the securing of files (lock-up) at end of each business day
Knowledge and Abilities:
Knowledge of Wealth Management products, services and processKnowledge of equity and fixed income securities and mutual fundsAnalytical skills to review and assess investment opportunities Have the ability to create a sense of urgency through follow up proceduresMust poses a persuasive personality to assist in the marshalling of assets Ability to communicate effectively both in written format and oral presentation. Ability to multi-task and establish prioritiesExhibit initiative, responsibility, flexibility and leadershipMust possess comprehensive and analytical skillsCommunicate with co-workers, management, clients, vendors, and others in a courteous and professional manner.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum three years experience in the financial sector with emphasis investment/brokerage and/or Trust administration background preferred knowledge of administrative functions to include, but not limited to, office administrative procedures, and knowledge of use and operation of standard office equipmentMust have a working knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint and database managementMust have high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations. Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacyStrong analytical skills are required in order to gather and summarize data for reports, find solutions to various administrative problems, and prioritize work.Must be detail-oriented in composing, typing and proofing materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines
