Writer/Editor

 

Requirements:

· Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in journalism/writing and/or business)

· Strong business writing and editing experience

· Excellent attention to detail

· Ability to multi-task and work under tight time constraints

· Desire to work in a fast-paced environment

· Strong Internet research techniques

· Proficiency in MS Word and Excel

· Phone skills

· Works well in a team environment

 

The individual will perform the following:

· Prepare extensive write-ups on companies being appraised

· Meet with appraisers and financial analysts to understand the company

· Perform in-depth Internet research on the industry and company

· Organize information from the appraiser, analyst, and the Internet

· Write the industry and company overviews

· Write field visit evaluations based on information sent in from company visits

· Edit the finished reports for grammar, punctuation, and clarity

· Proofread all numbers in the report by checking them against the financial exhibits

· Process the report by printing, binding, and sending to the client

· Timely finalization of the project through documentation of all pertinent information
