Today, we provide valuable business intelligence to customers around the globe. The Email Marketing Specialist is responsible for developing the overall email program strategy for TrueCredit.com. The main objective is to generate effective and consistent communications that reflect TransUnion Interactive's business and consumer objectives. Additionally, this role will play a critical part in driving and delivering online channel business results for assigned business areas. The Email Marketing Specialist works with cross-functional business areas and internal teams to successfully drive online positioning and business results. Duties & Responsibilities: 1. Set standards for TrueCredit.com email marketing best practices; manage overall email communications roadmap. 2. Prepare, test and execute email marketing campaigns in compliance with CAN-SPAM legislation. 3. Develop a prioritization and frequency management process for marketing emails. 4. Serve as the online marketing strategist for assigned business areas, with the goal of maximizing sales, enrollments, and revenue through the online channel. 5. Actively work and consult with business areas to develop online business plans, creating shared goals across business areas. 6. Establish and maintain effective, collaborative working relationships with all stakeholders, business partners and internal teams. Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to develop and implement business plans and analyze results. 7. Develop targeted email and web site marketing plans leading to continuous improvements in business results and deepening customer relationships. Work collaboratively with the email and site execution teams, ensuring that the execution plans are in-line with the overall strategy. 8. Work closely with the analytics team to fully understand marketing campaign performance and identify opportunities for optimizing results. 9. Program emails in HTML format when necessary. Work with images on text base emails, etc. 10. Monitor email marketing trends and best practices to increase efficiency and effectiveness of campaign results. 11. Manage relationship with outside vendors. 12. Prepare campaign analysis and reporting. 13. Performs other related duties as assigned. Bachelor's degree required with preferred concentration in marketing, advertising or journalism. A minimum of 2+ years of experience in a marketing/advertising agency or corporate marketing department. Incumbent must be detail oriented with the ability to multi-task and prioritize workload. Strong technical acumen. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Knowledge of Microsoft FrontPage and Macromedia Dreamweaver a plus. Requires strong planning and organizational skills. Demonstrates problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent customer service skills, including strong listening skills and the ability to communicate and interact with individuals at all levels, both internally and externally.
