Experience The Flavor of Things To Come!  SAGE is currently seeking an Assistant Production Manager (entry level food service management position) AND a catering manager for an independent school in Boca Raton, FL.  These managers will be part of a four manager team.

ASSISTANT PRODUCTION MANAGER
Job Responsibilities:
  1) Daily, preparation and supervision of cycle menu production.
  2) Menu planning, execution of and possible purchasing for catered events.
  3) Weekly inventory, food ordering per cycle menu, production record guidelines
  4) Kitchen, HACCP guideline management.
  5) Staff training as needed.
  6) Demonstrate exemplary customer service skills.
  7) Communicate clearly, professionally and effectively.
  8) Promote the team environment with an upbeat attitude
  9) Other duties as assigned by the Food Service Director

                   
Approved Candidates may be asked to prepare a series of plated items from a provided mystery tray of proteins, fruits, vegetables and dairy products under a strict time limit, in an already busy kitchen environment with limitations as to what can be used.  The final stage is to coherently explain the finished products, and answer critique questions.
   
Qualifications:
-at least 2 years of prior restaurant experience
-culinary knowledge
-knowledge of current food trends
-positive rolemodel
-detail oriented
-energetic demeanor
-strong work ethic
-timely responses to student, faculty, and corporate communication
-proficiency with computers

Catering Manager
Job Responsibilities:
-Meet with all campus clients to plan all catered events
-Hands on position: set up and break down functions
-Handling the associated catering paperwork
-Manage catering staff and execute the events
-Continually survey results to maintain customer satisfaction
-Work with SAGE management team and fill in for other positions as needed
-Aid in the recruitment and training of catering staff
-Other duties as assigned by Food Service Director

Job Qualifications:
-At least 3 - 5 years of catering experience
-Excellent communication skills: Written, oral and computer
-Demonstrated customer service skills
-Culinary knowledge of current food trends
-Ability to work under pressure and with deadlines
