Location MINNEAPOLIS, MN 55402Status Full Time, EmployeeJob Category Food Services/Hospitality Job Description Bench Marketplace Manager Overview of Position: The Restaurant/Marketplace Manager assumes ultimate responsibility for the efficient, professional, safe and profitable operation of their concept. Key Accountabilities: Sales and direct profit responsibility for the Restaurant/Marketplace operation. Purchase, prepare and present products in accordance with Food Division standards. Establish and maintain strong working relationship with store management. Maximize profitability of a single or multiple-concept strategy which may include restaurant, deli, coffee, yogurt, soups, wraps, gourmet foods, candy and/or wine. Work with store Human Resources office to coordinate all hiring, recruiting, termination and employee relations resolution. Monitor and document employee performance, and deliver all employee performance appraisals. Maintain role model standards in grooming and professional appearance and communications. Meet highest standards of workplace sanitation/equipment care and safety as set by Health Department and company policy. Schedule and complete weekly payroll to maximize labor cost control and Customer satisfaction. Utilize daily sales reports and weekly food cost and payroll reports to ensure monthly profit/loss goals are met. Provide education to staff on new products/menus and ensure adherence to recipes. Order food, beverage, dry and paper goods based on needs of the business. Review all invoices to ensure cost and quality controls. Ensure timely payment of invoices according to vendor contracts. Conduct food inventories to ensure they are taken on a timely and accurate basis to ensure targeted food and liquor costs are maintained. Responsible for the coordination and execution of special events. Responsible for additional assignments/goals as given by Central Operations Manager. Successfully execute Central-driven promotional strategies. Provide ongoing training to all Food Service employees on a regular basis. Provide ongoing coaching to increase team’s service performance.
