Business Development Rep - Fresh Produce

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT REPRESENTATIVE

A large regional food distributor with annual sales surpassing $100MM has a newly created opportunity with their Produce Sales/Business Development Team.  This company is a recognized industry leader in the area of premium quality conventional, organic and value added fresh cut produce as well as specialty cheeses, deli and bakery items.  For this addition to staff, the company offers all of the tools for success including an assigned list of established accounts to maintian and develop. Position Challenges
Maintain and expand existing customer relationships through phone contact, personal visits and email  Assist Sales Manager and Director in special promotions Inside/Outside sales contacts Research and follow up leads for new business opportunitiesVisit retail stores and supermarkets in NJ, NY, PA market 

Requirements
Bachelors degree preferredExperience with fresh produce sales - supermarket, broker, distributionStrong relationship building skillsExcellent communication skills - written, verbal and computer are essential. Valid Drivers license relatively clear of violations/points
