If so, we are looking for an experienced, passionate retail leader to join to the Mid-Atlantic Region of Whole Foods Market as a Career Development Associate Store Team Leader. This position starts in a 20 week training program that includes: A rotation through each team in the store 10 EMERGE HR & Financial classes Two fiscal periods working on projects in store leadership. At the end of the PA Program, individuals may be placed in any store in the Philadelphia area with a ASTL need (within proximity to the ASTL's home). In order to prepare the right person for a Store Team Leader role, the position requires the ability to train in any Philadelphia area store. This is a great opportunity to come grow with store leadership in the Mid-Atlantic Region of Whole Foods Market. Responsibilities Include: Support and assist the Store Team Leader and Associate Store Team Leaders in all areas of store Drive great customer service throughout the store Hire, train and develop Team Leaders and Assistant Team Leaders Help with overall store merchandising plans Help maintain strong store morale Active in the community Assist the Store Team Leader and Associate Store Team Leaders to meet or exceed financial targets Support and sustain Store, Regional and National policies and programs Support and/or transfer to metro area stores as needed Complete specials projects as assigned Other duties as assigned Qualifications: The ability and desire to train for 20 consecutive weeks beginning by 6/9/08. Ability and willingness to train and be ultimately placed in any PA/NJ Metro Area Store as needed. Strong leadership background is required, knowledge of retail and/or grocery is a plus. Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards. Demonstrated merchandising ability. Strong financials acumen and budgeting skills. Strong computer skills, including Excel and Word. Excellent communication and customer service skills. The desire and demonstrated ability to move into a Store Leadership position. The ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, holidays and weekends, and travel as needed.
