Cook 1

As directed, independently performs moderately difficult tasks in preparing quantities of quickly prepared foods such as steaks,

chops, cutlets, hamburgers, eggs, salads and other similar items.

Works under the supervision of the Head Cook. The Cook I will act independently or assist in the performance of any and all

duties necessary to keep the facility in full operation.


One year experience in large scale cooking.

High School diploma or G.E.D. required.

Valid Driver's license

Must pass background check/drug screening



Physical Duties: Must be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds. May be required to stand and walk for extended

periods of time, push or pull heavy equipment. Considerable reaching, stooping, kneeling and crouching is

required.May work in close proximity to steam or gas ovens that produce intense heat. Works in close proximity to

detainee population.
