Corporate Chef

Don Pablo's is seeking an exceptional, motivated leader who will serve as the company-wide culinary expert accomplishing corporate culinary goals and objectives. Work closely with the Training and R&D teams as the culinary spokesperson. Duties and Responsibilities:
• Participates as the spokesperson/chef for each brand as needed inside special
projects, events, and promotions.
• Coordinates menu development for company.
• Develops recipes for promotion of targeted cuts and value-added products; exclusive and non-exclusive recipes for target market areas.
• Assists in sales calls to foodservice accounts where a culinary focus is needed. Includes suggesting menu ideas and applications, custom developed recipes, and general consultative service.
• Attends and assists with strategically selected, high impact retailer cooking schools and special events.
• Responsible for development and oversight of a turnkey program that can be rolled out to retailers with in-house cooking schools or those with interactive demonstration capabilities.
• Approximately 50% travel required.• Understanding of the restaurant business environment, anticipates menu trends and changes, and develops strategies to capitalize on sales growth opportunities and ensure long-term restaurant brand growth.
• Strong presentation skills with the ability to interact effectively with staff, unit and multi – unit level managers.
• Very strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to show initiative, provide direction, and work with others as part of a coordinated team.
• Ability to function effectively under pressure.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and prioritize among assignments.
• Capability to work effectively in deadline situations and flexibility regarding hours.
• Ability to be proactive in solving/preventing problems.
• Proficient use of computers, e-mail, and the Internet.• Experienced chef with first-hand restaurant experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Creativity in the kitchen; in presenting and in creating marketing programs. Education and/or Experience: 
Minimum Associate of Science Degree from accredited culinary school with completed
ACF apprenticeship program.  Four years foodservice experience in full-service restaurant
or hotel.  Four years experience as Certified Chef, Certified Executive Chef, or Certified
Research Chef.  Strengths would include recipe development on consumer and trade
