Corporate Services Accountant

Reporting to the Director of Corporate Services, you will be responsible for the completion of all financial planning, reporting, operational, and payment responsibilities of the Corporate Services Group.   You will perform a variety of accounting functions in accordance with standard procedures in the following areas:  general accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger research and analysis, internal process audits and special projects as necessary.  The position will have frequent contact with other departments and/or outside agencies to resolve problems.  Essential functions:  Operating Budgets In the ARAMARK Finance System and in accordance with approved ARAMARK financial management guidelines; Prepares annual operating budgets for all Corporate Services departmental and real estate components and monthly analysis of spend for management review. Researches and thoroughly explains all variances to plan, adjusts schedules, and re projects targets accordingly. Capital Budgets In the ARAMARK Finance System and in accordance with approved ARAMARK financial management guidelines; Prepares annual capital budgets for Corporate Services Departments and monthly analysis of spend. Researches and thoroughly explains all variances to plan, adjusts schedule and re projects targets accordingly.Creates, tracks spend, and closes out all capital equipment requests for Corporate Services Departments. Accounts Payable & Payroll  In the ARAMARK Finance System and in accordance with approved ARAMARK financial management and document retention guidelines; Monitors all costs and schedules associated with existing leases, verifies and processes all invoices for payment, initiates departmental transfer journal vouchers, and processes departmental payroll. Reports all discrepancies and maintains accurate files and reports for management. The position requires a bachelor degree in business, finance, or accounting with a minimum of three to five years of relevant and progressive experience in a corporate setting.  Strong analyticial abilites, organizational skilss and attention to detail are essential to success in this position.  The ideal candidate will have experience using all Microfost Office Applications, particularly Access and Excel.  Prior experience with accounting software, preferably Oracle, is a plus.
