DIRECTOR OF SALES

Our client is the maker of the freshest, highest level antioxidant beverages in the natural food market space today.  They are seeking a dynamic entrepreneurial minded Director of Sales to lead the sales team on their trek deeper into the traditional and natural food grocery store jungle.   


The ideal candidate will have:

*  8+ years of traditional and/or natural food supermarket/grocery store sales
 experience.
*  5+ years in a manager or above sales role with 5 to 10 direct reports.
*  Rolodex of decision makers within the grocery industry.
*  Outstanding leadership, mentoring and coaching skills.
*  Achieved and surpassed sales goals on a regular basis, and a proven track record of
success.
*  Winning personality, and is able to work well with senior management.
*  Prior organic and/or natural foods/beverage sales experience(s) strongly desired.
*  Prior experience selling to C-stores a plus.
*  A desire to work with a small start-up company; a do whatever it takes attitude to make the company successful while staying true to the mission statement and values of the company.


What you will do:

*  Directs the activities of the sales team; lead by example.
*  Plan and carry out sales and marketing activities so as to increase sales.
*  Develop creative ideas, sales and marketing strategies for the various areas we sell in.
*  Monitor and report on competitive activities and strategies.
*  Participates in formulating and administering company policies and developing sales objectives and long range goals.
* Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve sales goals and increase profitability.
*  Directs and coordinates the activities of the sales staff to develop new accounts and achieve sales goals and objectives.
