Deli Attendant

JOB TITLE: DELI ATTENDANT   DEPARTMENT NAME: FOOD AND BEVERAGE     I.  Job description:  Responsible for customer service, stock handling and overall cleaning of the deli area. Position could also include re-supplying and prep work.     II.   OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES:  Incumbent is responsible for, but not limited to: deli customer service by preparing deli items in a timely manner according to Marriott food handling standards that are aligned with state and local health requirements. Able to assist customers with the selection process demonstrating excellent hospitality skills in a team oriented culture.     III.  WORKING RELATIONS:   Reports to:  Food & Beverage Supervisor   Interfaces with:  Guests, supervisor and other intra-departmental associates.  IV.    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: · Safely prepare deli food items for guests according to Marriott standards in a timely manner.  · Incumbent will be able to safely prep, re-supply and re-store deli area as directed by Food & Beverage Supervisor. · Able to maintain proper stock levels at all times by notifying supervisor in a timely manner. · Ensure the proper rotation of all food items according to Marriott standards.  V.   SECONDARY JOB FUNCTIONS: · Maintain all labels with dates on all food items. · Ensure clean and orderly refrigerators and work areas.  · Perform various other duties as assigned by Food & Beverage Supervisor.   VI. PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:· Keyboard with ten key capabilities. Prolonged standing, reaching, bending and able to lift 30 lbs. Able to operate Point of Sale equipment.    VII.   JOB QUALIFICATIONS: · High school graduate or GED equivalent preferred. · Proficient with reading, writing and speaking English, second language a plus. · Ability to operate Point of Sale equipment.
