Our clients are prestigious private schools, private colleges and corporations who insist on the highest level of service available in the marketplace.  SAGE is currently seeking a district manager candidate who has experience in all areas of hospitality management for the Baltimore/Washington Corridor.

As a district manager, you will be providing overall development, direction and control to SAGE locations. Your mission encompasses not only meeting the operational and financial goals of the units, but also providing leadership, motivation and direction to the food service directors and chef managers in your district. The district manager is responsible for preserving client relationships and focusing on client and customer service.

The ideal candidate has experience as a district manager supervising multiple locations in the food service industry and/or contract-managed service. The candidate will have at least 5-10 years of high quality catering, food service, budget preparation, cash operations, and food service management experience for multiple units. Computer knowledge is a must. Responsibilities of this position will include supervising multiple accounts, P&L accountability, and team development. Extensive travel is required in the district as well as occasionally to other districts to aid fellow District Managers.

SAGE’s managers are talented individuals who know how to prepare a great meal! Menus are individually written to reflect local and regional foods, flavors and culinary style.  The culinary team at your unit will execute your menu with healthful menu writing, recipe development and cooking methods.  At SAGE, the skills and expertise of our chefs are what make every dining experience truly unique.  There are no company recipes or set menus.  We encourage all our chefs to use their culinary talent to write menus.  Our chefs start with fresh ingredients and prepare meals from scratch.

Culinary knowledge is also a prerequisite for a SAGE District Manager. While hands on culinary expertise is not required, an understanding of menus, palates and food trends is expected.
