Every location offers an environment that values each of its employees! Job Description: The Division QA Manager leads and manages the Quality/Product Safety program for the Bremner Food Group division. Serves as liaison with R&D, Sales and customers concerning all quality and product safety related issues. Job duties include: Develops and implements Division Quality and Product Safety Standards to ensure products are produced in compliance with Federal and State Regulatory requirements, as well as those supporting requirements established by Corporate Standards. Provides program direction to operating facilities by maintaining liaison with Quality Managers and Plant Directors. Defines operational quality performance and measurements based on statistical process control, provides necessary training and monitors ongoing results. Audits Quality and Product Safety programs with facility audits, as necessary. Provides oversight and direction for divisional HAACP and AIB compliance programs. Develops a professional relationship with Sales representatives and the Quality representative of key customers. Coordinates with Sales and responds to Customer quality related requests and complaints, determines their expectation or otherwise defines the complaint. Researches and provides a professionally acceptable written resolution to satisfy the customer’s expectations in a timely manner. Investigates quality and product safety related issues for finished product, ingredients and packaging. Corresponds with appropriate plant personnel to evaluate an issue and initiate proper steps to achieve problem resolution. Follows to ensure compliance. Coordinates with R&D, Ingredient and Packaging Purchasing to maintain agreement on receipt testing, and certificates of analysis. Develops professional relationships with Quality representatives of key suppliers. Identifies and audits key Supplier Quality/Product Safety programs and makes facility audits, when necessary. Coordinates Quality Program requirements for all BFG Contract Manufacturing/Packing (suppliers). Assures that the Supplier’s contract quality requirements are in place.Job Qualifications: BS degree in Food Science, chemistry or a related field is preferred. Minimum of 7 years experience in a Food Manufacturing, Quality or Operations position. Minimum of 5 years experience in Food Safety and Quality Assurance. Previous experience having oversight at multiple facilities is strongly desired. Must have the ability to coach and train in these areas to include statistical process control tools and techniques.
