Divisional Sales Manager

Responsible for “street execution” and the development of Route Managers and Sales Representatives for the distribution of Red Bull Energy Drink. As well as executing all sales/promotional programs by performing the following duties.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

(Other duties may be assigned).

• Manages field sales activities of the company to achieve company sales and profit objectives.

• Establishes, recommends and implements strategies, objectives and plans for the company’s sales and profit objectives.

• Manages the activities of subordinate internal and external sales staff and managerial personnel. Direct the Division field sales staff in achieving planned quotas.

• Directs staffing and performance evaluations to develop and control sales program.

• Travels the Division sales territories to monitor field activities and gain perspective of current market conditions.

• Recommends performance incentive programs for the sales department

• Develop and administer the budget for the Division sales program. Evaluate and control performance to plan.

• Develop and maintain relationships within the marketplace.

• Engage in the more difficult negotiations (as support to Sales Representative) to develop new business and to resolve the more critical problems affecting the sales program.

• Plan and develop various aspects of sales meetings. Execute and participate in various meetings of the sales program.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities

The management of Route Managers who each supervise up to 5-9 employees in the Red Bull Division and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.  

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Two - three years’ management experience with a beverage wholesaler or supplier.  Language Skills Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence and to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Mathematical skills ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Effective computer skills are a necessity.  To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of the Internet, order processing, and spreadsheet and word processing software. Must have a current state driver’s license, meet company vehicle insurance requirements and be able to regularly operate a motor vehicle.
