Driver (Box Truck)

JOB DESCRIPTION

 

P  Position Title: Driver (Box Truck)    

 

 

     Reports to: Purchasing Manager

 

 

 

Summary of General Areas of Responsibility:  Assisting in the day to day ordering, Pick up of  daily supplies, Receiving and organization of incoming product.  Monday thru Friday, 7 am-3 pm

 

 

Specific Areas of Responsibility: Receiving and proper storage of product.  Driving to certain vendors to pick-up product.  Proper organization and storage of all perishable and non-perishable products as governed by existing HACCP plan.  Assist Sous Chef and Purchasing Manager in daily ordering.  Work with Sous Chef to establish and maintain inventory control system. 

 

 

Internal Relationships: Ability to interact positively with supervisor, management, and coworkers, to promote a team effort and maintain a positive and professional approach.  The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to work in an efficient manner.  Ability to come to work regularly and on time, to follow directions

 

 

Educational Background Preferred: High school diploma

 

 

Personal Traits Desired: Strong Organizational skills and communication skills.  System oriented, team player, effective listening and questioning skills, and responsible. Can work unsupervised.  Good driving record.

 

Experience Required: Must have valid D.O.T drivers license, and good driving record.  Must have experience in some aspect of food service receiving.

 

 

Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift 70  Lbs.
